Assistance Dogs / Guide Dogs

Assistance dogs Animanl AIr Care Animal Aircare Staff will attend the aircraft to meet Assist/Service dogs arriving into the UK at Gatwick under the provisions of the Pet Travel Scheme.

The checks for compliance with the Pet Travel Scheme are carried out on the aircraft so that the dog is permitted to remain with the passenger at all times.

A pre-notification must have been supplied to us in accordance with the airline’s service level agreement with the Gatwick Animal Reception Centre. This advanced notification always includes the faxing or emailing of the dog’s Pet Travel Scheme documents to the Animal Reception Centre prior to its arrival at Gatwick.

Our charges for the meeting and checking of recognised, trained Assistance Dogs will be met by the Gatwick Airport authority.

Please be aware that there may be a charge (payable in advance) for the checking and entry clearance of Emotional Support, Medical Alert or other accompanying animals which have been accepted for carriage in the cabin by the Airline but which do NOT have training accreditation recognised by the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) in the UK.
